I have been to Jim Corbett 5 times, although I never saw tiger there :). During all my visits to Jim Corebett, I stayed in different resorts and today sharing some of the old photographs from my favorite place so far. This Photo Journey shares about Welcome Heritage Corbett Ramganga resort and more.
It was our annual office trip and we reached this resort early in the morning after overnight journey in Volvo from Delhi. This place is located around Ramganga river. This resort has huge space surrounded by green trees, colorful birds and lot of flora & fauna.
There are different sorts of cottages, rooms and suites in this resort. Nicely maintained rooms and facilities. We spent 2 days in this resort and it was an awesome experience for most of us. During these 2 days, we also planned one safari inside Jim Corbett National Park.
I loved these huts in woods. This resort has huge area and some part of it is well covered with trees and varied plantations. This place is away from hustle bustle of the town. Main town is full of resorts, while this one is away from main road and no other resort or hotel around this place.
The resort is located at stunning location right between valleys and ramganga river. Very peaceful and mesmerizing. It's near marchulla and even the roads leading to resort give you feeling that something is special in its location.
We had a fantastic time staying at Ramganga resort. I have never had such fresh n well made food in a hotel. We used to eat like crazy, and none of us complained of any sort of gastric problems. The hotel staff was very courteous.
Some of the folks in our group felt that cottages lacked a bit of privacy.
Early morning time was such a pleasant experience in this resort, waking up, to the sound of water n birds chirping. Dew on the flowers make their gardens shine.
The staff here are amazing set of people who are really helpful and not the ones who head to please only the foreign tourists. Since we were there in a group, the package we got from the hotel was decent and didnt make us feel that they were overpriced.
This place isway too far from the Corbett entrances and you need to do lot of driving to get to things. For some folks it's a drawback and for other it makes the place peaceful.
During evening, they arranged bon-fire with live music by a local band. These folks were awesome. They also allow DJ during the night if requested by groups.
I enjoyed walking around this place and clicked lot of colorful flowers.
