An evening well spent at Decathlon, Noida || #MobileGIRI

On a weekend in October, Nishant visited us in Noida with his parents and one of the main agenda was to visit Decathlon. This Photo Journey shares some photographs clicked with iPhone and more details about the place. Decathlon is near Great India Place Mall (GIP) in Noida. If you are going there in your own car, you can either park it in the covered parking of the mall or opt for easily available open parking near Decathlon. Anyways, you need not worry about pros and cons of parking inside the Mall or near Decathlon because there is frequent shuttle between GIP and Decathlon. The photograph above shows the toy-traint that runs between these two places and it's not only for kids, everyone can enjoy the ride :). We chose to park the car in GIP parking, did some shopping, and then headed towards Decathlon. We took the train from GIP to Decathlon. No tickets, it's FREE. Just wait for few minutes for the train and catch a comfortable ride to Decathlon. Overall it takes 5-7 minutes. Decathlon is a sports/outdoor mega store which caters to all imaginable requirements that a person interested in sports or outdoor activities can have. And that's why Nishant was there. We started looking at camping stuff, picked few basic utility articles which can be used during travel. Since it's a huge store, we started from one side and went sequentially to ensure that we don't miss anything :), although Nishant wanted to be in Badminton and scooter blocks as early as possible. He picked some stuff from Badminton block and then headed towards cycling section. He got a smart helmet in red.
Apart from great equipments for outdoors and sports related stuff, there is a open ground where folks can come and enjoy various sports. Nishant also picked a scooter and spent some time around other kids playing basketball, badminton, tennis etc. The video below shows various activities happening at Decathlon playground. Overall, it is a nice store to visit if you are even remotely interested in sports. You can even find fishing and horse-riding equipment there. You can also find some useful sports apparel here. It is truly a one-stop-shop for sports lovers.
