I was staying in Hilton Hotel around Union Square, so grabbed the map from reception and started walking towards the Caltrain station. It was a 20-25 minutes walk from Hilton till Caltrain station. I enjoyed the walk through San Francisco streets. As reached the Caltrain station, I saw a fight between 2 boys. It was a bad one. One of them was bleeding and they were saying all bad words to each other. I was a bit scared by their actions. I didn't cross the road and kept waiting for the moment when they depart. It continued for 10 minutes. I was expecting a police van to come, like we see in movies but nothing like that happened. No one attempted to stop them. After a while one of them decided to move in other direction and that's how this flight ended. The other guy was still roaming around and I was not comfortable moving towards the station gate. One gentleman asked me to hold his hand and move forward. Finally I bought the ticket through machine installed outside the Caltrain station and boarded the one which starts around 8:25am.

After that Caltrain journey was smooth and enjoyable. I was in the one which stops on selected stations and not all.

A caltrain has 2 levels of seatings. I opted to sit on the top row which offers brilliant views of surroundings. The photographs below are clicked from fast moving caltrain with some stains on the glass windows.

During my stay in California, I was in love with this blue sky. Weather was always refreshing.

Caltrain is a California commuter rail line on the San Francisco Peninsula and in the Santa Clara Valley (Silicon Valley). The north end of the line is San Francisco, at 4th and King streets - its south end is Gilroy. Trains leave San Francisco and San Jose about hourly on weekdays, or more frequently during commute hours and for special events (such as sporting events).

Caltrain is governed by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (PCJPB), which consists of agencies from the three Caltrain counties.

After this beautiful ride, I finally landed in San Jose. San Jose Caltrain station is very close to my office (Adobe Systems). It hardly took 10 minutes for me to reach my office. While walking through the street I met another Adobe employee who told me that a free bus shuttle starts from Caltrain station and one can take it till the office.

I was planning to take Caltrain in the evening for San Francisco, but one of my friends dropped me at my Hotel after a round of Costco and dinner at Fremont.
