Triund is one of the popular treks in Himachal Pradesh. This is counted in moderate treks, although many of the trekkers consider it simple trek. Triund is name of a ridge in Dhauladhar Himalayas... Reaching Triund is very easy for people coming to Mcledoganj and Dharmshala. Accommodation at Triund is available in the rest house of Forest Department, but water has to be fetched from a distance of about 2 kilometers. Most of the times trekkers prefer to stay in tents. Many local companies arrange trekking facilities for trekkers & tourists. Although many of the trekkers take their stuff with them.  Triund lies at the feet of the perpetually snow covered Dhauladhar mountain ranges at the height of three thousands meters. It's around 20 kilometers from Dharmshala Town.
