Sushirrito, located in Redwood City in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a unique fusion restaurant that combines the flavours of sushi and burritos. The restaurant's name is derived from the Japanese word for sushi, "sushi," and the Spanish word for burrito, "burrito." The result is a delicious and inventive eating experience that has made Sushirrito a must-visit spot for foodies in the Bay Area and beyond.

The concept of Sushirrito was born in 2011, when Peter Yen, the founder of the restaurant, was looking for a way to combine his love for sushi and burritos. He started experimenting with different combinations of ingredients, and eventually came up with the idea of rolling sushi in a burrito-sized wrapper. The result was a huge success, and Sushirrito was born.

The menu at Sushirrito features a variety of sushi burritos, as well as bowls and salads. Some of the most popular items on the menu include the "Sumo Crunch," which features shrimp tempura, surimi crab meat, avocado, cucumber, and tempura crunch, and the "Geisha's Kiss," which includes yellowfin tuna, tamago (sweet egg), avocado, cucumber, and yuzu tobiko (flying fish roe). All of the ingredients used at Sushirrito are high-quality and fresh, and the restaurant prides itself on using sustainable seafood and locally sourced produce whenever possible.

In addition to its delicious food, Sushirrito is also known for its sleek and modern decor. The restaurant features a minimalist design with clean lines and a neutral color palette, creating a chic and sophisticated atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or colleagues.

One thing I found weird at this place was that they ask for tip even when no service is provided at Sushiritto. You go to the counter, make payment, grab water from a container put in a corner, eat your meal and move out. The tip is asked for what? And it's asked through the machine while placing the order at Suchiritto.

Sushirrito in Redwood City is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for an inventive and delicious eating experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. Whether you're a sushi lover, a burrito aficionado, or just looking to try something new, Sushirrito is sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you wanting more.
