A late night drive to Rushikonda Beach from Vizag City

While I visited Vizag for the first time, I heard a lot about Rishikonda beach. Almost everyone was talking about visiting this beach and some of the folks also mentioned about the drive part that it's very interesting drive with ocean on the right side and interesting landscapes on the left. Siddhartha drove us to the beach and also explained us about various places on the way, state of politics in Andhra Pradesh, local film insdutry and lot more. It was certainly a good drive on the excellent highway connecting Vizag city with the beach. After reaching the beach, we spent some time around the beach, listening to the ocean waves. Everything was closed when we were there. I think we were there at around 1am.

Rishikonda is huge beach and we got to know that lot of families come to this beach for celebrating birthdays of family members. That's also a trend in some of the beaches close to the cities. People would come to the beach with a cake. Cake cutting will happen at the beach and then either picnic around the beach or eat out at a good place. That depends upon weather and time of the year.

It seems there is a Beach Maggi point a little away from the beach, but one of the best places to enjoy maggie and older one as well. Usually beach Maggie point if open during late hours.

While coming back to the city, there was a huge force working on cleaning up the roads and then we realised how Vizag is so clean.

Note : Above photograph doesn't show Rishikonda beach as we were driving during the night and couldn't click any photograph. Above photograph was clicked from Kailashgiri

If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -

  1. Manage your waste well and don’t litter
  2. Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
  3. Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
  4. Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.
  5. Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite
