Above photograph shows one of the sides of Kumbha Palace with a huge banyan tree in the middle of this compound. Supposedly this was jail section and was very close to the Kumbha Palace. That sounds odd and very unusual.

Kumbha Palace is 2 storey structure and there is also a temple inside it. When you go to top floor of the palace, you see this cluster of Jain temples from one of the windows. If I remember correctly, most of these temples look clearly from zanana mahal of Kumbha Palace inside Kumbhalgarh Fort.

Kumbha Palace is located close to the Pagda Pol inside Kumbhalgarh Fort of Rajasthan. Kumbha Palace is considered as a good example of Rajput architecture. Kumbha Palace is a two storeyed building with a beautiful durbar hall. There is a corridor which separates the mardana palace from the zanana palace. Mardana Mahal is meant for men of Royal family and Zanan Mahal for women.

Above photograph is a view from Kumbha Palace of Kumbhalgarh and looks like an old dam with fertile farmlands around it. Comng back to the second largest wall of India, the frontal walls of Kumbhalgarh Fort have a thickness of 15 feet and Kumbhalgarh has seven fortified gateways. There are Hulla pol, Hanuman pol, Ram pol, Bhairava pol, Paghra pol and the top-khana pol, when you walk around the main part of the fort. Pol means gate. Due to the strong structure of Kumbhalgarh Fort, this fort was unbeatable till date. It is beautifully lit for some time each evening and this is a remarkable sight.

Above photograph shows horse stable near Kumbha Palace, which seemed to be renovated now. This whole space around Kumbha Palace seem to be pretty active given it's surrounded by a stable, jail and temple. Kumbha Palace is one of the main places to explore inside Kubhalgarh Fort and certainly special. Please do share your suggestions/inputs through comments section below.
