TEDx WalledCity at Constitution Club of India || 8th April, 2012

After attending TEDx Connaught Place at Indian American Center, I heard of TEDx WalledCity and registered for it. It happened on 8th April 2012 at Constitution Club of India. Here is a quick Photo Journey with my personal voews about the event !TEDx WalledCity was planned to start at 2:30 pm, so I started from Noida at 1:00 pm and reached at venue by 2:20 pm. After reaching the place I realized that there were very few folks in the hall. After lot of random chit-chat, a video started around 3:15 pm and I had already watched the video earlier, so this couldn't fill up for late start of the show.So in this TEDx event only videos were showcased with zero discussion about the ideas being shared through these videos. The simple question arises that why folks need to get together at a place for watching the videos which are available online. So if someone ask me about the worth of spending 6 hrs, outside the home and compromising on other things, to watch these videos? It's not worth... If it's not clear from above description of the event - There was no live speaker in the event, only videos were played During the event of 3 hrs, there was small partial-interactive session where everyone was given a card to mention about gender discrimination and discuss ways to solve them. Some discussions happened in small groups of 4-6 folks. This was interesting part when we got to know about some folks in the hall.Getting clicked with this poster of the event was one of the main agenda :) ... So here I request to organizers of 'TEDx WalledCity' to think about some ideas to better organize TEDx events !
