But still I will add few details about the lake with these photographs:-) Lake is surrounded by Mughal era gardens, parks, houseboats and hotels. Scenic views of the lake can be witnessed from the shore line Mughal gardens like Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh built during Mughal Emperor Jahangir and from houseboats cruising along the lake in the colourful shikaras.During the winter season, the temperature sometimes reaches −10 here and lake freezes during winters...The lake is located within a catchment area covering 320 square km in the Zabarwan mountain valley which is in the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range from three sides...The lake is popular as a visitor attraction and a summer resort. Fisheries and the harvesting of food and fodder plants are also important on Dal Lake...
