Beautiful Trek towards snow covered peaks of Dainkund from Dalhousie (Casual Clicks without editing) : Posted by VJ Sharma at www.travellingcamera.com : Due to busy schedule these days I am not able to find time to explore places.. Its been two months I am only doing my work :-) So here are few old photographs of a Trek to Dainkund form Dalhousie....Its you have seen my last post about Kala Top Trek, there is a station on main road called Lakkar Mandi from where we change the route towards Kala Top... For Dainkund also, we take right cut from Lakkar Mandi...Dainkund gets maximum snowfall in Dalhousie region...There is a road till the top of this hill, but we chose to trek this distance with some drinks and snacks ... (I don't want to be specific here...)This whole stretch is full of natural richness... Deodars all around and clouds moving here and there to save from hash sunlight on the hills...A view of Khajjiar Lake from Dainkund... Wind on these high hills is chilly and fast.. I completely different experience... We spent some time sitting on these hills and when we moved in calm places(dense deodar forests, there was a continuous beep sound in our ears....We didn't follow this road because it becomes time expensive and a bit boring.... We used to take short-cuts through various forests on the way... Had chance to play with snow balls also :-)Whole stretch is clean, green and full of colorful flowers... I was not very fond of photography during this time and that is the main reason I am not able to portray real image of this place... It was difficult for me to find photographs without people faces :-)Some criss-cross roads on the way... There are few villages around this trek having beautiful mud houses and bunch of sheep spread over various hills...Initially I was not comformtable with the idea of posting this photograph on my blog.. I searched in google and found that many sites already has this information available... I am not sure if its right or wrong but somehow I feel guilty about the act of taking this photograph :-(I know these photographs are not appreciating the real beauty of the place but believe me it was very exciting trek for us... and I these pictures are not giving real view of the place... This place was probably 10 times beautiful than you see here..There is a series of mountains on the trek and finally we reached a temple on the top... Temple was covered with snow, so we were not able to have darshan there...Some random shots in deodar forests....Darkness inside these forests in clear sunny day...Colorful forests make this trek wonderful... A view to Dalhouise on back journey.. Everyone is waiting to have rest for next day Trip to Chamba....
