The tower is surrounded by 12 pillars, which represent Dr. Kalam's dedication to the 12 states of India.
The memorial also includes a library, a prayer hall, and a museum showcasing Dr. Kalam's life and achievements. The library contains books and documents related to Dr. Kalam's life and works, while the prayer hall is a place for visitors to offer their prayers and pay their respects to the former President.
The museum showcases Dr. Kalam's life, from his childhood to his presidency, through photographs, videos, and personal belongings. It also displays models of some of Dr. Kalam's inventions and innovations, including the missile program and the Kalam-Raju stent.
The Kalam Memorial is a popular tourist destination in Rameswaram and attracts thousands of visitors every year who come to pay their respects to the former President and learn about his life and contributions to India.
