Aeroflot : Airlines Review (Delhi to Warsaw via Moscow)

So far, I have used Aeroflot flight only once when going to Poland and the overall experience ok. It was a flight from Delhi to Russia and then to Warsaw from Moscow. Both the aeroplanes were very different - probably the one from Delhi is considered international flight but the other one is considered Europe specific. This post shares more about this experience along with some tips to get great deals on flights in this region.

My flight had stop at Narita Airport and one caveat of changing flight at Narita airport is too much security check process. If you ask me, that was the longest security check I had. It can be special for that particular day because of some specific reason but didn't seem like that to me. Like US airports, you need take off shoes, belt etc and then scan for each individual takes lot of time and they didn't have lot of rows to do it in parallel. Let's talk about some of the common things we look for when traveling long distances across oceans. Leg room - 5/5 There is good space between 2 rows of seats. Personally I don't face much challenges of space because of my height but the space in ANA was sort of luxury for me and I know some of my friends appreciated it in much better way. Seat Comfort - 4/5 - Seats of ANA flights are comfortable and it gives you a feel of premium airline. I would compare comfort of ANA seats with Emirates planes. Food & Drinks - 3.5/5 - Lot of vegetarian Indians would not survive on the food served in ANA. Even for non vegetarians, the food served on ANA flights is average but may be a better taste for Japanese folks as preparation of food is more in accordance to the local taste. Service & Staff - 4.5/5 - I found overall service & the staff very good. Co-operative staff and they would deal with all your random asks without making faces or decline, unless the passenger is unreasonable. Entertainment System - 5/5 - Pretty good entertainment system with decent variety and range of content. No disruption while place is taking off or landing or other in-flight announcements or actions. Logistics management - 4/5 - Check-in process to handling of luggage and taking care of elder passenger on airport as well as on plane is pretty good. I couldn't come across any glitches in these processes for me or my friends.

My special experience of this flight was running around Moscow Airport because of very different kind of vibes and fashion quotient of people in the airport.

Flight durations -

Delhi to Moscow - 6.5 hrs
Moskow to Warsaw - 2.2 hrs

Let's talk about some of the common things we look for when traveling long distances across oceans.

Leg room - 3.5/5 - Leg room was an issue, especially in flight from Moscow to Warsaw. Delhi flight had better leg space but still it was congested in comparison to other international airlines.

Seat Comfort - 3.5/5 - Seat comfort of Aeroflot Airlines planes is comparatively ok.

Food & Drinks - 4/5 - Food options are pretty good for both vegetarians as well as folks who like non-veg preparations.

Service & Staff - 3.5/5 - Overall I experienced good service and found staff of Aeroflot Airlines ok.

Entertainment System - 4/5 - Reasonable entertainment system with decent variety and range of content.

Logistics management - 4/5 - Check-in process to handling of luggage and taking care of elder passenger on airport as well as on plane is pretty good. I couldn't come across any glitches in these processes for me or my friends.

Layoff Airport Experience - 3/5 - Moscow airport is very chaotic, so if you have less time it can get hard to reach other gate from where you need to catch connecting flight

If you liked this post and found it helpful, I would request you to follow these things when traveling -
  1. Manage your waste well and don’t litter
  2. Use dustbins. Tell us if you went to a place and found it hard to locate a dustbin.
  3. Avoid bottle waters in hills. Usually you get clean water in hills and water bottles create lot of mess in our ecosystem.
  4. Say big no to plastic and avoid those unhealthy snacks packed in plastic bags. Rather buy fruits.
  5. Don't play loud blaring music in forests of jungle camps. You are a guest in that ecosystem and disturbing the locals (humans and animals) is not polite.
