STOP !! If you are still PAYING MORE for old Airtel connections (Postpaid as well as Broadband) - I just saved 27% per month !!

 Generally we live in the world of "Ignorance is Bliss" unless that 'bliss' is hit by something. That's a usual thing with all the subscriptions we use today. Phone connection, internet, OTT channels, gas pipeline, AMC services etc. Today again Airtel broke that 'Bliss' state for me, which turned out to be a great thing for me. I have shared the story in later part of the blogpost, but first I will focus on how you can save significant amount of money over time by giving 15 mins. I visited Airtel shop near my house and asked for Broadband connections, the representative share a piece of paper with all ongoing plans. and I noticed that I am paying much more on 10 years old Airtel Broadband than what I get today. So here are quick numbers for your understanding : Old connections : Broadband - 200GBPS (I don't even get 100) - 999 Rs/month + taxes (~1178) Airtel Postpaid - 399+taxes = ~470rs/month New Plan : Broadband (100GBps) + One postpaid = 1098 + taxes Savings = ~27% You may say that it's not a fair comparison as you have now taken 100gbps connection instead of 200 gbps. Here is the response : 1. I was not getting that speed anyway, so no difference for me and now I am aware what I am supposed to get so Airtel can't play that they offer less than committed speed. But I will not be surprised if they act smart. 2. Even if you go for 200gbps+postpaid connection, that would have costed - 1099 rs :) . and to my surprise why it's almost the same. I am also sharing the plans that Airtel offers. So if you have an old plan, do check out the latest ones and save this significant money every year. Now if you are curious how I discovered it? Today I went to Airtel app for paying bills and realised that amount was more than expected for 3 connections we have. I checked details but wasn't able to figure out why. Then I called 121 and like always, experience was bad and I couldn't get a reply. Then I tweeted to resolve and in the meantime I went to Airtel shop near my house, to see if I can quickly solve. and then I saw new plans. So this trigger helped me save 27% monthly.

Old connections :

Broadband - 200GBPS (I don't even get 100) - 999 Rs/month + taxes (~1178)

Airtel Postpaid - 399+taxes = ~470rs/month

New Plan :

Broadband (100GBps) + One postpaid = 1098 + taxes

Savings = ~27%
